1. What HealthOS is (and is not)

HealthOS is a wellness companion: an AI-assisted nutritionist, chef, and grocery manager that helps you plan meals, track your pantry, and understand your food. HealthOS is not a medical device, does not diagnose or treat any condition, and is not a substitute for advice from a doctor, registered dietitian, or other qualified professional. If you have a medical condition, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or are considering a significant change to your diet, talk to a professional first.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use HealthOS. By using the product, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Your account

You sign in with an emailed magic link, so keeping your email account secure is what keeps your HealthOS account secure. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide (body stats, goals, dietary rules, and so on): HealthOS uses it to personalize suggestions, and cannot verify it independently.

4. Subscriptions and billing

HealthOS offers a free tier and one paid tier:

• Free: unlimited food lookups, manual meal logging, 30 assistant messages per month, 2 bill scans per month, and 1 weekly plan to try.
• Paid ($4.99/month or $39/year): 1,000 assistant messages per month (fair use), unlimited bill scans, unlimited weekly plans and regenerations, chef mode, and daily briefings.

Payments are processed by Stripe; HealthOS never sees or stores your full card number. Paid subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from Settings, and you will keep paid access through the end of the period you already paid for. Free-tier limits are enforced automatically before any AI feature runs, with a clear upgrade path shown when you hit one.

5. Acceptable use

Use HealthOS only for its intended purpose: planning your own meals and managing your own kitchen. Do not attempt to abuse, reverse-engineer, or overload the service, impersonate another person, or use HealthOS to generate content unrelated to food, nutrition, or your kitchen.

6. AI-assisted content and nutrition data

Calorie and macronutrient numbers always come from our structured food database (USDA FoodData Central and Open Food Facts), never invented by an AI model. Recipes, weekly plans, receipt readings, and free-text meal matches are AI-assisted and shown to you to confirm or correct before anything is saved. Always double-check anything relevant to an allergy or medical dietary restriction yourself: AI-assisted suggestions can be wrong.

7. Health disclaimer

HealthOS provides general wellness information and suggestions, not medical advice. Nothing in the product should be read as a diagnosis, a treatment plan, or a recommendation to start, stop, or change any medication or medical treatment. In a medical emergency, contact emergency services or a medical professional immediately, not HealthOS.

8. Your data

See our Privacy Policy for what we collect, how we use it, and how to export or delete it.

9. Termination

You may stop using HealthOS and delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where practical.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

HealthOS is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, HealthOS and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the product, including any health or dietary outcome. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

11. Changes to these terms

If we make a material change to these terms, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let you know in-app.
